Matthew Norris

Editor-In-Chief, Print/Web Design, and Social Media

Born and raised in the woods, now a millennial dad ope’in around Indianapolis. Matthew Norris is a writer whose work goes well with a combo of black coffee, sunsets, campfires, and croaking bullfrogs. He’s an alum of Ball State where he served as a poetry editor on The Broken Plate. His writing has featured in Modern Flash Fiction, The Broken Plate, Crack the Spine, Quotidian, Door’s Always Open Journal, and others. Follow him on his Instagram here!

When reading submissions, Matt looks for writing that is polished and keeps its momentum going from start to finish. He enjoys work that blends genres and pushes boundaries to further the narrative. Give him tension; give him the small moments that can span to the end of time; or a final two lines that turn everything on its head. Above all, he looks for honest work that doesn’t pull any punches.

Paige Wyatt

Co-Managing Editor, Community Outreach and Creative Consulting

Paige Wyatt is a writer and magazine editor. Paige co-founded and edited poetry and nonfiction for the Heartland Society of Women Writers (2020-2025). She is also a proud member of #STFU Art Collective. Her work has been published with Indy Untitled, Genrepunk Magazine, Beyond the Veil Press, Door’s Always Open, and others. She travels full time around the USA with her family. You can find her on Instagram or read more about her here.

Paige looks for anything distinctly regional (the Midwest and Appalachia have her heart). Send her anything spooky, quirky, strange, or “wtf” worthy. She appreciates hope, gorgeous and unique turns of phrase, and the pain of living on the page. And if you think your writing is “witchy,” please send it post-haste.

Natalie Raab

Co-Managing Editor, Contributor Support

Natalie is a psychotherapist and a writer. Her work has been published in The Broken Plate, Shapes and Names, and Dogwood Alchemy. She has ghostwritten more memoirs than she has fingers to count them on. Natalie studied creative writing and literature at Ball State University, and graduated with a master’s degree in counseling education from IUPUI in 2017. You can find her on Instagram here.

Natalie is partial to work that tells a story using sparse language and sharp, unique details. Genre is less meaningful to her than a piece’s ability to evoke something recognizable. Humor and unflinching honesty are always welcome.

Paige Anderson

Visual Arts Editor

Paige is an Indianapolis artist who specializes in cubism, surrealism, psychedelic pop, and making up weird things and drawing them. They have a fondness for the unexpected and for art that speaks boldly about something true or something overlooked. As a former tattoo artist, they are also impressed by a calculated composition and artists who can say a lot with a simple, confident image.

Paige’s artwork has been featured locally at Gallery 42, Q Skate Park, events like This Could Be Everything, STFU’s Ice Cream Social, the Heartland Society of Women Writers, and adorning the skin of the local residents.

Check out their art Instagram here, and their awesome tattoo work here!
